AYODHYA LIGHTS UP FOR THE SIXTH "DEEPOSTAV" WITH PM MODI

More than 17 lakh clay diyas lit up, creating a mesmerising image on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya, giving the impression that it was heaven on earth. The diyas' reflection in the Saryu river provided a breathtaking view as the laser display lit up the heavens. Ayodhya's citizens rose up and started chanting "Jai Shri Ram." Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed prayers and burned five ghee "diyas" inside the Ram Janambhoomi shrine.



Diya lights are used to symbolise "Deepotsav."

On Sunday evening after arriving in Ayodhya, Modi went to the Ram Janambhoomi temple and prayed there before viewing the ongoing construction. Anandben Patel, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, and Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, were with him. Here, he also lit a "diya," which was followed by a discussion with the crew , who were building the temple.
